Jorge Nuño for
LA City Council District 9

Born and Raised
in South Central

I grew up near Vernon and Main, the son of immigrants from Jalisco, Mexico who taught me that if you want something better, you build it. For more than two decades, I’ve built businesses, created jobs, mentored youth, and turned an abandoned 100-year-old home into a community center known as The Big House.

Now I’m running for City Council because South LA deserves leadership rooted in the people, not political machines.

Don’t Move, Improve!

Families are being priced out.
Small businesses are struggling.
Streets are neglected.

We can keep public dollars circulating locally.
We can hire from within the district.
We can clean and beautify our neighborhoods.
We can build affordable housing without displacement.

This campaign is about accountability,
economic justice, and building a district that
works for working families.

The Core Priorities

  1. Clean & Safe Streets

  2. Local Jobs & Union Work

  3. Affordable Housing

  4. Youth Investment

  5. Community-Based Public Safety

  6. Small Business Development
